The fortune is in… The Fishbowl?

Not the thing you were expecting right? Think about it… you go into a restaurant and they have a fishbowl on the counter at the register for you to drop in a business card to enter to win a free appetizer, lunch, dessert, or maybe ever free drinks.

What do you think happens to those cards after the remove them from the fishbowl?


I can tell you from experience.

At this point you may be thinking that’s great but we don’t have fishbowls on our front counter. And you are right… But… EVERY business has a fishbowl, they just don’t sit at the register and they don’t look like fishbowls.

Remember the last time you went to the dentist or doctor and saw those patient folders along the wall behind the receptionist with the colored tabs on them?


Ever go into a business that had rows of customer files in 4-drawer file cabinets along a wall?


Oil Change companies put that little sticker on your windshield…


Excel spreadsheets with customer invoices and contact info…


EVERY business that collects contact information from their customers has a Fishbowl!  Those customers willingly gave you their information and it is your job… your responsibility to tell them when you have an offer that they might find interesting.

Staying in touch with your customers is easier than you think!

There are very simple and inexpensive services called auto-responders that you can use to set up your client lists and send out communications to your customer base with the touch of a button.  These systems can send email, text messages and some can even send recorded phone messages.
